always a great idea the night you stay up, but never seems near as wonderful when you are faced with the prospect of leaving the comfort of your bed the next morning.
So.....knowing how early we had to get up this morning, (and it came early for me at 6 am to talk to Katie for a few minutes before she leaves for her early Theory of Knowledge class. Speaking of which, she only has two more days of this 6:30 am class ~ can I say that the Happy Dance will be performed by more than one person in our house? I've tried to get up and talk to Katie for a few minutes each morning that she has this class. Otherwise, I feel as though I hardly see her. Sorry that was a long thought), I should know better than to get into a movie that starts somewhere around 11 pm. But, The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorite movies ~ you know, one of those movies that you have to watch even though you've seen it many times? Last night, as I was washing my face and brushing my teeth, Jay was flipping through the channels and came upon this amazing movie. I just love Richard Harris and mourn the loss of him every time I view one of his movies...especially this one and the first two Harry Potters. We were drawn into and before we knew it, it was extremely late at night or early in the morning depending upon how you look at it. We are the epitome of party animals, don't you agree?
Now, I feel the renewed desire to read this book. It has been on my "To Read" list since I first saw this movie 8 years ago. I think I need to move it higher in my queue.
What movies cause you to give up precious sleep?
I haven't seen the movie or read the book. I think I need to rectify that soon.
ReplyDeleteYou HAVE to read it. It is amazing...though I've only read the abridged version and thought it was wonderful!!!
