I remember being introduced to this game by my Grandma Fay when I was about 8. I recall being frustrated because I would always lose AND because I didn't have a large enough vocabulary at the time to really hope to compete. I started to play the game more frequently and over time, began to win. I began to win so often that I had to beg my mom or anyone to play with me. In my elevated opinion of my BOGGLE skills, (I went so far as to assume the email address "bogglechamp") I started to play against others on facebook in a large game that you can sign on and join. While I usually ended up in the top 10-15, I was significantly humbled to say the least. Oh well, it's all in good fun right? As all of my favorite games are word based, I should say thank you to my Grandma for introducing me to the world of word games. As for the "bogglechamp" email address....well I still have it although I have all but ceased to use it after someone misread it "bogglechump."
Maybe I'll try out for Wheel of Fortune some day.......
I have to say that I have never played Boggle.
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny. Thanks for the chuckle!
ReplyDeleteI SUCK at word games. Me a dummy, well you know that, I have to keep asking you what an adverb is when we play madlibs! :-)
You're definitely NOT a dummy and I'll be happy to keep refreshing your memory as to what an adverb is :-)
