We are travelling up to Yakima, Washington to celebrate this fantastic accomplishment. I say accomplishment because this guy has been through a lot and he's a fighter! In the last 10 years, he's beaten cancer twice and most recently, came through a heart valve replacement surgery with flying colors. Lee has a dry sense of humor, much like his son Jay, and he loves his family! We love him too! Happy 80th Birthday Lee! Here's to many more!!
Oh and FYI, getting him to smile for a picture is like pulling teeth.

ReplyDeleteMindy ~ we (at least some of us) will be up at the end of March. Let's get together then! This trip was all about the Despains. We only saw my parents for about an hour.
