Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia Canada ~ June 2008
The year I turned 38, I was treated to one of my best birthday presents EVER ~ my mom took me to Eastern Canada to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the publishing of Anne of Green Gables. We had read the books together when I was a little girl ~ something I hope to repeat with my girls. Both my mom and I had always wanted to see the beautiful places described by LM Montgomery and it didn't disappoint! Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island were gorgeous! I loved this foggy day at the shore!

Fog lifting. Love that shot.

Great photos and a great story. Have a great Ruby Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. Anne of Green Gables is my sisters favorite series ever, she's been wanting to go to Price Edward Island for as long as I can remember. What a dream come true for you.
ReplyDeletePEI was beautiful! Sadly, most of the movie, including the Green Gables house, was filmed in Ontario. It seems like blasphemy ~ haha.
ReplyDeleteWe toured the North shore and Charlottetown and several sites key to LM Montgomery. The original Green Gables was Montgomery's aunt and uncle's home.
It was an amazing trip and to share it with my mom was even better!
I'm so glad you got to do this. What an amazing experience! Beautiful photo, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice spot to visit and reflect. Wish someday I could visit this place. Thanks for sharing!
