the Spring Recital for my piano students. It will bring the year to a close and I'm having bittersweet feelings about that. I will miss my students, but will enjoy the extra time after school to do fun things with my kids.
Playing the piano brings such joy to me! I love being able to share this knowledge with others. The look of delight and accomplishment on their faces when the kids tackle a song they had deemed "hard," is priceless.
Tonight we'll be hearing a wide range of song genre, from Coldplay to Beethoven to American Folk songs. I love that there is such a wonderful variety of music to choose from ~ it turns the piano into a new toy every time you open a new book of music.
I was at the library yesterday reserving some books and browsed through their music section. I came out with some fun new options for myself.....so if you happen to walk by my house and the windows are open, you just might hear some 60s R&B.
If anyone wants to come and hear some fabulous kids play the piano, the recital is at the LDS Church on Battlecreek Rd at 7......
I might have to sneak in during tonight's pack meeting. I love piano recitals!
