Sometimes I wish

a good book series could just go on and on.......... There are so many wonderful book series out there but they all have a "last" book. I suppose the author must want to do other things with their life, but still.......

I also love the Little House series, Anne of Green Gables, all of Jane Austen's works, although not really a series, I do consider them a series of portraits of English life and culture in the 1800s, Twilight and a few new series I've happened upon lately as I can't just keep rereading my favorites. A great way to find new book suggestions is signing up for a profile on goodreads.com. It's fun to see what everyone else is interested in and find those "kindred spirits" who enjoy the same type of literature as I do.

Whatever you like to read, an ending is always inevitable. I suppose if there wasn't an ending, however disappointing, I'd never be able to pull myself back to reality.

What are some of your favorite series of books?

  1. I know I am such a nerd, but I'm crazy about the Horatio Hornblower series. I own all eleven of them, and like you, was so sad when the last book was "over".
