I wanted to blog about the Jogathon last night, but I was so tired and had a huge headache so instead I took 4 Advil and laid on the couch.
Today is better, so I thought I should get a few pictures up. I enjoyed working on the Jogathon committee! It's so nice to be a part of a committee, yet not be in charge. I've spent enough years heading up the Sally Foster sale that I'm supremely happy being assigned a duty.
The kids were so excited to run! Even when they had cramps from running, they walked with enthusiasm. It was great to see the teachers and principal do some laps and that motivated the kids to keep going. It was very touching when the DLC classroom came out for their turn at the end of the day. Anna's class came out to run or walk with the kids and they were so sweet! Many a mom was shedding a tear including this mom. Anna said that one of the boys from the DLC class held her hand and ran two laps with her.
Anna and Rachel ran so well! Rachel set a pace for herself and only walked one time for about 50 feet and ran the rest of the way. She did 11 laps which is the equivalent of 1 1/2 miles. Anna ran 14 laps which is 2 miles. I'm so proud of both girls!! I even got to run a few laps with them which was a lot of fun!!
I love that you are such a hands on mom!! The pictures are great and such hard work running that far...the kids really did need those icy popcycles ;) Good Job Girls!!!!
