to start a "SUPER SECRET" project for Katie for graduation. She reads my blog (occasionally) so I can't post any hints or clues......sorry! I will post pictures, though, of the finished project. I promise!!
So.....I will blog instead about something else I'm excited about. I realized that I spend a lot of time thinking about projects to do and mull things over in my head, but never actually get off the ground with them. I'm tired of doing this. I seem to get side-tracked quite often by other responsibilities i.e. the daily chores of being a mom, church responsibilities, school responsibilities and piano lesson responsibilities. While I love all of those things very much, I forget to take the time to tackle the projects that I mull over in my head. So yesterday, I got tired of just mulling and I sat right down at my computer and began writing a story about the time I lived in Alaska (1983-1986). I've always have had fond memories of the time spent there ~ we had some adventures! It IS the Last Frontier......
Ideas poured out and I felt such joy in bringing at least
one thing I've been thinking about to fruition. I haven't written anything for awhile and felt a little rusty, immediately editing some of what I'd written. Who knows when the project will be done, but starting something up is always the most difficult step for me.
What are
YOU excited about accomplishing?
That's a great idea to do a secret project for Katie! Sounds like a great project to write about Alaska. I have about 50 projects rolling around in my head. I need to buckle down and get going.
