I don't mind the rain so much

when I think of this song my mom played quite often when I was a little girl...."Laughter in the Rain" by Neil Sedaka. I have a fond recollection of playing on my front porch with my dolls because though it was raining, I really wanted to be outside. My mom and I compromised after I'm sure I put up a good argument about being outside and my mom most likely wanted some quiet time (As a mom, I understand that now). Being that it was a warm summer day in Yakima, Washington, despite the rain, my mom had opened the main door to let air in through the screen. The music flowed out of the open door as I arranged all of my dolls. I loved the words, the notes......the song just made me happy. It might be a cheesy 70s love song, but it has a special place in my heart and memory. It may just occupy a spot on a playlist entitled "Kim's Random Favorites........"
