Happy Birthday to my Dad

My DAD is a great man....

If you want something done, and done efficiently, ask my Dad. And he prefers to do it quietly, without any accolades. He's a great example to my family and I in so many ways. He's got a fun, quirky sense of humor. My dad loves his grandkids and loves hearing from them. He's been known to call Rachel, who isn't fooled anymore, and pretend to be a professor from Hogwarts, and invite her for a visit to the campus. He stayed with Tyler last summer for a week while we took Katie to BYU and built shelves in our garage which we absolutely love! He shows his love by helping and doing things for others. He is a wonderful story teller....he may tell the same story a few times, but we never tire of hearing them. He does funny impressions and accents, though you have to beg and plead before he'll consent to do it and then proceeds to love every minute of entertaining others with his wit. He is a wonderful leader, mentor and friend, as is evidenced by still being in contact with many scouts from the troops he's lead over the years, many of which are my age. I don't know about you, but though I loved many of my young women leaders, I am not in contact with any of them. My dad has influenced many lives for good! I am grateful to be his daughter!
