Ringin' in 2011 and celebratin' 2010

For our New Year's Party last week, we decided to celebrate 2010 by asking everyone to dress up as your favorite event and/or person from last year. We had lots of great costumes ~ everyone was so creative!!

In our family, we represented a good overview of 2010. Jay dressed as "Lebron's Decision," Katie dressed as the "It's so fluffy girl" from Despicable Me (until she left for another, more cool teenager party), Rachel went as an Extreme Home Makeover volunteer, Tyler is Leonardo DiCaprio from Inception (and he also left to go to a cooler party ~ I'm sensing a theme here), Anna is an iPad and I'm Christine O'Donnell......hence the witch hat and tea cup.
Here we have the Chancellors ~ Lavendar Brown from HP, another "It's so fluffy girl," a Bedbug and Justin Bieber.
Presenting the Parents.....Despicable minions, the "death of Hollywood video," HP7 and the Old Spice moustache man
What else would the Watkins come dressed up as but a bunch of Ducks?!? QUACK!
Here we have the Johnsons....a.k.a The Chilean miners
The Stephensons.....Nicole as the Gulf Oil Spill and everyone else as Disney fans
Here we have Oregon's "first family" the Warners....a.k.a. the Kitzhabers
What a fun night we had with our friends celebrating 2010!! I can hardly wait to see what this year brings! And even though we are Husky fans, we are rooting for Oregon in the championship game. This feels disloyal, but we have lived in Oregon for 16 1/2 years. Some of you are probably surprised that I didn't dress up as the movie premiere of Eclipse. I thought about it, but felt I should branch out a bit and give my Edward t-shirt a break. And I promise that I really don't dabble in witchcraft.....
