The GIRLS signed

a pledge to not watch any television or play any computer games for one week, starting last Saturday. At the end of the week, we will get to celebrate this accomplishment by spending the night in the library. For the last several years, I've thought that we should participate, but then things get busy and I forget to sign up. And frankly, I wasn't sure if the girls could break away from their favorite shows.

But....I decided to ask them if they wanted to sign up and they surprised me with a resounding YES! Sunday was by far the biggest challenge. We had fun though ~ playing games, doing puzzles, doing Madlibs and playing Mystery Ball on the pool table.

We are excited for Friday's sleepover ~ the library has lots of fun activities planned. I'm thinking this might become a new tradition!

I didn't sign the pledge, but I've also tried to cut back my television watching time after the girls have gone to bed. I must admit though, I did watch Castle last night and I'm not missing Vampire Diaries on Thursday either!
