Family Reunions are
FUN at the BEACH! Cape Lookout State Park to be precise........
Making bracelets was a popular activity......
Hiking to Cape Lookout......the hike looks to be very friendly at first
Some eerie beauty mixed in to the hike makes for some "Twilight-ish" scenery
Grandpa John and Rachel on the hike
The fog starts to break a little......this causes me to start feeling uneasy as I have a petrifying fear of heights and there were many places with sheer drop-offs and no guard rail. I just tried not to look down (about 300 feet down) and focus instead on the view in front of me. We did see some pretty cool stuff on the hike too.
And enjoyed some trail mix at the Cape......
The view that we hiked out 2 1/2 miles to see.....
My uncle Clair is still a "child at heart" as he poses with all the kids of the first generation of cousins and one of my cousins who is next to Rachel.
Elisha and Anna
A line of surf
Anna is caught in the act of "potty-ing" in the forest.....
Another foggy view....
What we had to hike through for about 3 out of the 5 miles of hike.....
Our shoes after the hike......the funny thing is that we saw people on our way out who were on their way in and they were wearing flip-flops. We had a good chuckle to ourselves.
The Tillamook Air Museum....the largest wooden structure in the world. This is the hangar door.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you have some pictures from the hike. I thought about sending our camera with Andy, but knew I'd need it at the beach with the younger kids...It was great to see you and our kids loved playing with your girls!
ReplyDeleteYou pictures are gorgeous! Plus, what a fun family reunion!
