Sawdust

We had several great talks at church today, but one in particular struck a chord with me. Brother Lloyd Colvin was talking about forgiveness...with regard to others and toward ourselves. He likened it to making a cut in a board and then picking up the sawdust and trying to continue cutting it. Recutting sawdust is a futile effort as is rehashing things in the past. We can only move on and learn from whatever situation we were in.

How I needed to hear that, especially today ~ I love moments like that when you feel as if a message is meant just for you.

Whether I cut the wood causing the sawdust or someone else did, it's my choice whether or not to roll in it!

I am thankful for a wonderful reminder today of forgiveness!! What a great example of Christ's life to think about over the Christmas season and to begin the new year!
