I'm going to be a whiner......

and complain a little about my sore shoulder.

I got a tetanus shot on Tuesday morning. I haven't had a booster shot since I was 18. I've got a large and sore knot in my left shoulder. It hurts like crazy and I can't sleep on my favorite side. I wish I'd bought stock in ibuprofen! I don't think I realized it would be so sore for so long.

On a side note, I will never tell me kids "Oh you're alright" after a booster shot again. Maybe this was a good empathy-gaining experience.......yeah I'm going to stick with that because it's about the only positive thing I can think of about the booster shot. That and I don't have to worry for 10 more years about contracting Tetanus, Diphtheria or Pertussis. Another side note ~ this isn't a sympathy rant....it's purely therapeutic!

  1. Oh dear! Sorry you are in so much discomfort. Though, You're not doing much in the way of making me think I should go get a shot too! Hmm... wonder when I had my last one... if you can't remember - it's probably too long! Right?

  2. OUCH! I can never look when they give me a shot. It doesn't bother me if I don't look.

  3. My left shoulder is so swollen and painful from the shot, which the doc said might happen, but I don't think I quite realized how much. The painful area is slowly shrinking though today thank goodness!

  4. You are hilarious!
    Hope you're 100 percent really soon! :-)
Wait a minute, did you get a treat on the way home from the doctors for being brave? If you didn't THAT is the problem! Treats from doctor appointments fix everything! Go eat a treat! I hope it's not too late!
